Board hands out ‘You Make a Difference’ awards

Last Tuesday night during the Butler County Board of Education meeting employees were awarded with “You Make a Difference” Awards.

Employees are nominated by students, parents or coworkers.

Winners were: W O Parmer, Stephanie Rodriguez; Greenville Elementary, Bridgit Watson; Greenville Middle School, Gwen Carmichael and Donna Ward;  Greenville High School, Daniel Ingram and Willie Lewis; Georgiana, Rachel Blackburn and Torie Presley; McKenzie, Emily Gesink and Central Office, Carol McArthur and William Love. District award winners were Stephanie Rodriquez and Donna Ward.

Also on the agenda was approval of breakfast and lunch price increases. Breakfast prices will increase to $1.10 for students and $1.30 for adults, lunch will increase to $1.85 for students and $3.00 for adults. The last meal increase was in 2012.
