Margaret Ann Jenkins Carden

Carden, Margaret Ann Jenkins, 86, a resident of Pine Apple died at her home June 13. The funeral service was held June 15 from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Reverend William Leverette officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Awin Community Cemetery. Visitation was June 14 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carden was preceded in death by: her husband, Mitchell S. Carden; daughter, Pennye Rogers; son-in-law, David Rogers; and her grandson, Jeremy Burroughs. She is survived by: four daughters, Rebecca Ponder (Arnold) of Pine Apple, Trudy Foy (Barry) of Pine Apple, Mitchellene Works (Randall) of Pine Apple and Sharon Burroughs of Greenville; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nita Hardee of Monroeville; two sisters-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mrs. Carden retired after forty years with the United States Postal Service as the Post Mistress of McWilliams Post Office.
