A new business with some familiar faces has recently opened for business in the location of the former Court Square Café restaurant.
GranDee’s, owned by Deborah and Shannon Betterton, opened its doors on Wednesday, June 22.
Deborah Betterton has worked in the same location for the last five years, but as one of the main cooks.
Now that she has taken on the role as owner, she is excited to see where this new venture will lead.
Patty Powell, who owned Court Square Café for 21 years, said that she could not be happier for the Bettertons.
“It’s wonderful,” stated Powell. “Right now, I’m here as a volunteer to help Deborah learn how to run the business. She’s going to do a great job.”
The Bettertons expressed their hope that the location’s faithful customers will continue to support the business, but they added that they want to add new, future faithful customers to their clientele as well.
“We are going to offer a similar menu to what Court Square served,” stated Deborah Betterton, “but we will be adding some new items, too.”
GranDee’s will still have daily lunch specials, but they will also have a diverse menu from which customers can order.
GranDee’s is open for business Mondays thru Fridays from 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
They have dine-in and carryout.
For carryout orders, call GranDee’s at 334-371-4747.
