Herschel Walker Marshall, Jr.

Marshall, Jr., Herschel Walker, 66, died on May 16 in Coy. He was born in Nashville to Herschel “Bub” Marshall, Sr. and Dorothy Johnson Marshall. A graduate of Spring Hill High School and Tennessee Tech, he joined the U.S. Army in 1972. After the Army, he proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as a colonel in 2003. Herschel worked at AT&T (South Central Bell & BellSouth) for more than 25 years. Herschel was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve Marshall. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Marshall and brother, Greg Marshall, both of Nashville. A memorial service will be held July 30 at 2 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 3511 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, Tenn., 37215. Announced by Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
