Friday morning shooting leaves police searching for suspect

Early this morning at approximately 5 a.m. the Greenville Police Department responded to a shots fired call on South Street. Once on the scene officers discovered a 36-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to GPD, the victim, who has not been identified, was treated and transported to Baptist Hospital in Montgomery.

After investigators arrived on the scene evidence was collected, witnesses were questioned and it was determined that the victim and another individual got into an argument which lead to the shooting.

Several shots were fired and the victim was struck once in the foot before running from the offender.

 

Investigators collected several pieces of evidence and quickly developed a suspect.

Terrance Richardson, 24, is wanted for questioning in the shooting.

Anyone with information in this case or on the suspect’s location is asked to call an investigator at 334-382-7461.
