Early morning crash claims one life

At approximately 3:25 a.m. Monday morning, 19-year-old Hunter Kyle Gaston of McKenzie was killed when the 2001 Ford F-150 he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Gaston, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

An unnamed passenger was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries. The wreck occurred on McKenzie Grade Road, six miles east of McKenzie.

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the wreck and nothing further is available at this time.
