Over $1,000 raised for playground

The McKenzie School Playground Committee held a fundraiser at the Marathon on Highway 31 on June 25. The money raised will go towards improvements to the playground at the school. The committee sold boiled peanuts, baked goods and had a Kona Ice vendor present. The group was able to raise over $1,000 during the event.
