Canterbury, Dewitt, 72, a resident of Honoraville passed away July 15. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on July 18 from Danielville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Looney officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements.

Dewitt was preceded in death by: his parents, Otis Lee and Ima Mae Hughes Canterbury; sister, Veola Smith; and brother, Wint Canterbury. Survivors include: wife, Faye Canterbury of Honoraville; sons, Mike Canterbury and Travis Canterbury, both of Montgomery; granddaughter, Shelli (Michael) Dean of Honoraville; great grandchildren, Grace Dean and Eli Dean, both of Honoraville. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held July 17 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home and July 18 from 10 a.m. until service time at Danielville Baptist Church.
