Officers arrived at the scene and located several subjects on the property, but did not observe anyone in an altercation. A report was made of the incident and an investigation was conducted to determine what took place. Investigators were able to identify several suspects that took part in the fight.
Once the investigation was complete five adults and two juveniles were arrested. All were charged with disorderly conduct for having taken part in the fight.
The adults charged in this case were China Powell, Kebriana Powell, Darzell Marsh, Daynasia Marsh and Keyaira Taylor. They range in age from 19 to 21.
Captain Lovvorn said, “As we have stated, we will investigate and arrest anyone who engages in fighting behavior in a public place. Those who continue to engage in this type of activity will receive a more serious punishment.
“Any adult who allows a juvenile to participate in a fight, regardless if the adult took part in the actual fight, will be charged as well. The police department needs the help of parents and the community in general to prevent and stop this type of activity.
“Please call an investigator at 334-382-7461 to report this type of activity or any crime. “
