The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is offering a Canning Workshop on August 30 at the Dunbar Community Center in Greenville. Attendees will learn about food safety in canning high-acid foods (water-bath canning), canning low-acid foods (pressure canning). Information will be available on pickling, freezing and drying foods. Food safety will be an important part of this workshop, so canning equipment will be demonstrated. Samples will be given!
