GPD to work with Auburn PD

Last Monday night, the Greenville City Council approved for the City of Greenville to enter into a professional service contract with the City of Auburn. The City of Greenville will provide law enforcement support services to the City of Auburn.
The support will include crowd control and traffic direction at Auburn University major sporting events and/or special events. GPD will provide service from August to July 31, 2017.
The city council also authorized the change to order #1 for South Street and Magnolia Cemetery drainage and storm sewer improvement project. Mitchell Contracting Service will now be replacing double line of 48” pipes with 10’x4’ precast culvert on Highway 10.
The original contract amount was for $346,064. The change to the contract is $161,910, resulting in a revised contract price of $507,974.
