JAMIE N. POUNCEY

Pouncey, Jamie N., 87, a resident of Wetumpka and formerly of Georgiana passed away Aug. 24. Graveside services were 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 27 from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. Danny Ellis officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements.

Jamie was preceded in death by: his parents, Mace and Vera Pouncey; sisters, Unavay Pouncey and Lurlene Johnson; and brother, Dewey Pouncey.

Survivors include: sister, Janell Powell of Greenville; brothers, Frank Pouncey of Greenville and Winton Pouncey of Rhode Island. Jamie is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. A gathering of family and friends was held at 9 a.m. on Aug. 27 at Johnson Funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.johnsongeorgiana.com.
