Panthers down Wildcats 56-0

The Georgiana Panthers took down the Florala Wildcats Friday night in a 56-0 win. The Panthers flew out of the gate with a 42 point head start in the first quarter.
Coach Powell said, “I am happy we got off to a good start on offense and we were able to move the ball well. Defense played really well all night.”
Cameron Longmire had three attempts rushing for a total of 90-yards and two touchdowns; Jamarquis Pates had 11 attempts for a total of 69-yards and Dearion Squaire had one attempt for 36-yards resulting in one touchdown.
Decorea Peterson had two assist and five solos; Lecedric Haynes had two assists and five solos; Christian William had one interception that resulted in a touchdown and Rashaun Lewis had one assist, four solos and a fumble recovery that resulted in a touchdown.
Georgiana faces the Kinston Bulldogs Friday night in Kinston. Kinston is 0-3 for the season.
“We have a solid Kinston team on the road next week. They play with a lot of heart and passion. It will make for a very good football game,” said Coach Powell when asked about next weeks game.
