FLORENCE KEENEY HOWELL

Mrs. Florence Keeney Howell, 86, a resident of Greenville died on Oct. 12. Funeral services were held on Oct. 14 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with father Jerome Chavarria officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. The family received friends on Oct. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Keeney; husband, Asa James Howell Sr., and great-granddaughter, Hadley Aislyn Hartman. She is survived by her children: Leah Howell Salter of Greenville; Asa James Howell, Jr. of Birmingham; Suzanne Howell Hartman (David) of Greenville; Jeannine Howell Pendergast (Pat) of Wetumpka; Melynda Howell Keating (John) of Montgomery; grandchildren, Shannon Salter Sliger (Tim) of Atlanta; Jennifer Salter Holt (Dustin) of Auburn; Joshua Hartman (Lauren) of Loxley; Rachel Hartman of Spanish Fort; Natalie Shae Brenizer (Robert) of Tuscaloosa; Andrew Hartman (Kyle) of Atlanta, GA; Anne-Grace Hartman of Greenville; Florence Erin Trotter of Wetumpka; John Lane Keating, Jr. of New Orleans, LA; Michael Asa Keating of Montgomery; and Kris Gabriel Keating of Montgomery; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Keeney, Jr. of Decatur; Herman Keeney (Blanche) of Montgomery; Fred Keeney (June) of Decatur; Frank Keeney (Lucy) of Tullahoma, TN and many nieces and nephews.
