VONCILE STRICKLAND, JR

Strickland, Voncile Jr., 86, a resident of Burkville died at her home on Oct. 20. The funeral service was held on Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Brother Al Finch and Brother Andy Hepburn officiated and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directed. Burial followed at New Bethel Cemetery in Braggs. Visitation was held on Oct. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Strickland; daughter, Winnie S Loftin; son-in-law, Gilbert E. Loftin, Sr.; granddaughter, Sharon K. McGough and grandson, Gilbert E. Loftin, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Cates (Jack) of Lowndesboro; grandchildren, Teri L. Spivey (Ray) of Deatsville; Elizabeth C. Smith (Darrell) of Montgomery; and Joseph E. Cates of Northfield, VT; great-grandchildren, Neal McGough of Honoraville; Belinda Jane Smith of Montgomery; Jordan Spivey of Deatsville; and Darrell Smith, Jr. of Montgomery; sisters, Marie Ingram of Selma; Betty Lou Cook of Auburn; and Thera McBride of Dothan; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
