MYRTICE SCHOFIELD PHELPS

 

 

Myrtice Schofield Phelps, 90, a resident of Greenville went to be with the Lord on Nov. 20 after a brief illness. Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 25 at Sunrise Memorial Park with Brother Randy Naylor officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Myrtice was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Greenville. She was a former long-time member of Chisholm Baptist Church in Montgomery where she was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for 27 years.

Myrtice was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Clara Lee Dobbs Schofield; her husband of sixty years, Herbert Phelps; grandsons, Christopher Phelps and Marcus Paul Harmon; great-granddaughter, Madison Jinright. She is survived by sons, Jim Phelps of Greenville; Mark Phelps (Debbie) of Phoenix and David Phelps of Montgomery; daughters, Charlotte Beasley (Keith) of Greenville;  Angie Brown (Trevitte) of Thorsby; eight grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren; great-great grandson, sister, Nell Gerlach of Prattville; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bob Phelps, Josh Phelps, Jason Phelps, Carey Jinright, Wyatt Jinright, Jared Shipp, and Brian Parker. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
