Stokes arrested for felonies

David Harold Stokes was arrested for two counts of Felony Assault 2nd degree Saturday at 9:19 p.m. in Fort Deposit. Investigator Marvin made the arrest and was assisted by the Fort Deposit Chief of Police T. Steiner. Stokes was arrested at the Fort Deposit Chevron gas station on Hwy 185 without incident and was transported to Lowndes County Jail on two $10,000 bonds. “The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all of the concerned citizens that called in and helped in locating Mr. Stokes. Without the help of the residents of our county, we would not be able to do our jobs as efficiently as we do!” said Marvin.
