DOROTHY L. GREEN DUKE

Mrs. Dorothy L (Green) Duke, 91, born and reared in Butler County but residing in Pensacola for the past 69 years, quietly entered into her eternal rest in the early hours of Dec. 3 with “The Girls”, her daughters and granddaughters by her side.

The matriarch of the family, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Jack Duke; two brothers, four half brothers and four half sisters. Known by Mom, MeeMaw, Sis, and Aunt Dot, She is survived by her two daughters; Janna Floyd and Beth (Jeff) Henderson, both of Pensacola; two granddaughters, Amanda (Kyle) Vanlandingham of Pensacola and Amber (CJ) Thames of Waynesboro, Va.; two precious great grandbabies, Harper J and Christian Tucker; two brothers, Chris (Katherine) Green of Saraland and Billy Don Green of Lakeland, FL.

She was a lifelong devoted member of the Church of Christ and was strong in her faith and knowledge that one day she would meet her Master face to face. All her life, she strived to be a good and Faithful servant.

Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Georgiana. Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. with the Minister Charles Box officiating the service after.
