Plans are now underway for the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce’s (GACC) annual banquet.

The banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the Lurleen B. Wallace Community College of Greenville Campus’s Wendell Mitchell Conference Center.

Jeff Lynn is slated as the guest speaker for the event.

Lynn is the Senior Executive Director of Workforce & Economic Development for the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).

According to his biography, Lynn is a “certified economic developer trainer with more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, corporate headquarters, IT technology centers, customer support centers and other business operations.”

Prior to starting work with the ACCS, Lynn developed LED FastStart, which was recognized nationally as the number one workforce development program in the country for seven consecutive years.

According to GACC Administrative Assistant Stephanie Steadham, the banquet will be an opportunity for members to network with one another.

“It also allows us, as an organization, the opportunity to recognize several of our members for their outstanding accomplishments,” said Steadham. “The banquet is also a chance for us to hear first-hand a state of the city address from Mayor McLendon.”

Attire for the banquet is business casual.

Tickets are still available and may be purchased at the GACC office, which is located at One Depot Square in downtown Greenville.

Tickets are $25 per person.
