DOROTHY JEAN BROOKS-COLEMAN
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Dorothy Jean Brooks-Coleman (DIMP) were held on Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. from Harrison Street Baptist Church, Rev. Anthony Baxter, officiating minister. Burial followed in Mt. Willing cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directed.
Mrs. Dorothy Jean Brooks-Coleman was born on Aug. 10, 1946 to the late Mr. Bezell and Mrs. Daisy Mae Brooks. She received Christ at an early age and joined Antioch Baptist Church. Later in life, she married the late Mr. Eddie Lee Coleman and moved her membership to Harrison Street Baptist Church.
She departed this earthly life on Jan. 6 at L.V. Stabler Hospital. She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Rosie Lee Coleman-Patton; son-in-law, Haywood Clark; sister, Rosetta Brooks; two brothers, Jerry Brooks and Robert Bradley; a special friend, Joel Herbert of thirty seven years; two grand children, Kimberly Patton and Lakesha Crenshaw; seven great grandchildren, Tyoni, Quarre, KeyAsia, CyQuez, Malayha, Kabarroe and Jahmylan; one great great grand, Zariah; nephews, Gerald, Robert (Henrietta), Earnest Lee, James Dale, Andrew, Larry Jerome Brooks, Roy C., Earnest Hall and Demetric Bradley; nieces, Diane Hamilton, Rosie Mary Moore, Barbara Ann Bell, Tameka Bell, Teresa Bell, Brenda Thigpen, Joyce, Jessica Bradley and Shirley Hall; a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and two special friends, Annie Ruth Shepherd and Mary Simmon.
