Mary Agnes Hall (Mae) Poole, 87, a resident of Forest Home went to be with the Lord on Feb. 17. A funeral service was held Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Rhodes and Brother Dan Nixon officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Poole; father, Edmund C. Hall; mother, Estelle Frye Hall; brother, Malcolm C. Hall and sister, Janet Hall Warner. She is survived by her son, Harry Davidson Poole, Jr. and her daughter Mary Helen Poole Terry (Charles). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charles Roden Terry III and Mary Helen Terry.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She was a member of Pine Apple Methodist Church. She loved serving the Lord and was a Sunday school teacher for 20 years at Forest Home Methodist Church.
One of her greatest achievements was organizing the Annual Homecoming at Pine Flat Methodist Church since 1980 and incorporating the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Ella Wall Club.
Pallbearers were Malcolm J. Hall, Edmund Warner, Steven C. Stallworth, Charles Roden Terry III, Brandon Simmons and Jimmie Lee Smith.
