Amnesty program under way

NICOLE NORRIS/THE GREENVILLE STANDARD

The Georgiana Municipal Court is extending an olive branch to any one with warrants in the City of Georgiana. If you have a warrant appear in court, plead guilty, pay your fine and your warrant will be recalled. Since warrants will not be served during amnesty court, no one participating will have an arrest record from charges handled on this date.

In cases where driver’s license suspensions have been issued, clearances will be generated so that driving privileges may be reinstated through the Department of Public Safety.

Those who wish to take advantage of the program must call Georgiana Municipal Court at 334-376-0205 before the court so that the files may be prepared. Court will be held on April 6 from 2-7 p.m.
