Mite League gets underway

This past Friday night the Greenville Parks and Recreation Mite League held its opening ceremonies and moments after the D-backs and Cubs faced off. The D-backs ruled the night winning 5-2 over the cubs. Sandrell Williams of the D-backs collected the first hit and in the park home run of the season as he came to bat in the first inning. Other players scoring runs for the D-backs were Benton Taylor, and Austin Beck. For the Cubs, Kelon Kimbro and BJ Bedgood scored one run apiece. Big hitters of the night for the D-backs were Williams with 2 and Frien Roper with 2. The Cubs leading hitter was Kimbro with 2.
