It was a tough week for the Eagles as the boys dropped two games to make their win loss record on the season even at 12.

On April 4, the Eagles lost to Morgan 2-1 in a close game at home. Michael LeQoc pitched a complete game, giving up only four hits to the Senators. Jason Little, for FDA, scored the only run of the game off a sacrifice fly by Luke Taylor in the first inning. Little also had two hits. Morgan scored both of their runs in the 6th inning off 6 hits.

On April 6, the Eagles traveled to Monroe and lost 10-0. Luke Taylor pitched 5 good innings but in the 6th, Monroe exploded and scored 8 runs to finish of the Eagles. Baron Brack led the Eagles with 2 hits.

The FDA Lady Eagles recognized their seniors on April 4. Though the Eagles lost to Morgan 10-6, they played hard and kept themselves close in the game.

Alex Moore, daughter of Krissy and Chris Moore, has played 6 years on the varsity team and is one of their pitchers. She plans to go to college and study radiology.

Mallory Conway, daughter of Melissa and Jeff Conway, has played 3 years on the varsity team and is a captain. She plays in right field and plans to attend Troy University and study nursing.

Ashley Brogden, daughter of Melissa and Ken Brogden, plays centerfield and has been with the varsity team for 5 years. She plans to attend Troy University and major in accounting.

Coach Ritter said, “I very proud of our seniors, they have worked hard this year and gave leadership to the younger players.”
