LEOTA LA RAE STEPHENS HEATH

Leota LaRae Stephens Heath, 80, died May 8, 2017 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Anna Stephens and son, Gary Wayne Heath. She is survived by her husband, Joe E. Heath; son, Michael E. Heath (Valerie); nephew, Steve Harris (Patti); and grandsons Andy and Morgan Heath. LaRae was a member of Sandy Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Deposit. She was a founding member of the Alabama Chapter of COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors). She traveled often volunteering her time to those families that had suffered the death of a loved one in Law Enforcement. Funeral services were held May 10, 11 a.m. at the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Reverend Bob Watts officiated and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directed. Burial followed at Sunrise Memorial Park. Visitation was held May 10 from 10-11 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to COPS, P.O.
