DOROTHY ANN COOK “BIG TWIN”

 

Funeral services for the late Mother Dorothy Ann Cook “Big Twin” were held Sept. 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Greenwood Church of God in Christ. Supt. LoEarl Flowers, was the officiating minister. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville directed.

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Cook was born on March 1, 1947 to the late Nathaniel and Marie Cook in Greenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Helen Ann Cook, Willie Nell Jones, Gloria McKee, Dorothy Jean Cook, and the late Eddie Cook.

Dorothy received Christ at a early age she became a member of the Greenwood Church of God in Christ in 1968 under the leadership of the late Pastor Waymon Pryor. She remained a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor LoEarl Flowers until God called her home to glory on September 23.

Mother Cook was a faithful and dedicated and loyal member. She loved her Church and Pastor. Mother Cook served on the Usher Board as President for numerous of years.

She served as advisor to the Mother Board also a member of the Pastor Aide Board. She served as a Coordinate of Prayer. She believed in the standard of Holiness. She was a Daycare provider in Greenwood Community.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Nassaline Cook, Montgomery; Vincent Cook, Michael (Mozell) Cook, Tamika (Tony) Lewis, all of Greenville; Mattie Cook, Montgomery; Ezekiel (Papita) Cook, Virginia Beach, Va.; stepson, Eddie Jr., (Margaret) Cook, Greenville; god daughter, Aniyah Thompson, brother, Nathaniel Cook, Montgomery; aunt, Ruth (Ray B.) Dover, Fairfield; Minnie Marsh, Knoxville Tenn.; great aunt, Marie Guice, Montgomery; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends, Bettye Jean Carter, Zula Stone and Mother Angeline Taylor.
