SARAH Y. CRENSHAW

 

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Sarah Y. Crenshaw were held Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. from Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Reverend Wilbert Jenkins officiated. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, directed.

On Feb. 11, 1950 to the late Oliver Young and the late Helen Bryson Crenshaw, a baby girl was born, and they named her Sarah Glinder Young. At an early age she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Later in life she met and married the late Mr. Charlie Crenshaw. She departed this life in the early morning of Oct. 9, at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lorenzo and Mathews; grandson, Devontaye “Trey” and three sisters and one brother.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a son, Frederick (Jennifer) Crenshaw; daughter, Angelica Crenshaw; eleven grandchildren, Tomás, Khadarrius, Quindarrius,  Heavenly, Ra’Angel, Ja’Maya, Ti’Aysha, Asia, Frederick, Sequoya, and Brayden; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Karleigh, and Khloe; sister, Jerry Dean (Marvin) Crenshaw; brother, Henry James (Jackie) Simmons; aunt, Beatrice Crenshaw, Mobile; sister-in-law, Clara Mae Andrews, San Antonio, Texas; three   devoted friends: Barbara Thicklin, Essie Waters, and Maggie Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
