Double homicide on Airport Road

In an apparent double homicide, two local men were slain in a vehicle by gunshots sometime early Wednesday morning near the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church on Airport Road. At around 9 a.m. Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the scene where they found the bodies of the men in a Ford Mustang. The men have been identified as Ja’von Banks, 22, of Greenville and Darious Lymon, 22, of Forest Home. Traffic on Airport Road was diverted for several hours as investigators from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville Police Department and State Bureau of Investigation analyzed the scene. Sheriff Kenny Harden has stated they are working diligently on the case and want those who perpetrated the crime behind bars.
