ROBERT JAMES RAY

Funeral services for the late Mr. Robert James Ray were held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. from Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Michael Foster, officiating minister. Burial followed in Bedgood Cemetery, Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, directing.

Mr. Robert James Ray was born on February 27, 1964 in Butler County to the late Mr. Willie J. and Lucille Ray.

Robert resided in Belleville, Ill. for 20 years until his health failed and he moved back home.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: four children, Eric Thompson, Troy; Quintin Thompson, DeMario Thompson, and Sharonda Thompson all of Luverne; 13 sisters and brothers, Willie May Ray, Greenville; Tommie L. Ray, Massillon, Ohio; Minnie Cherry, Loganville, Ga.; Bonnie Sue Baugh, Greenville; Johnnie Lee (Connie) Ray, Massillon, Ohio; Elaine Knowles, Montgomery; Mary Daniels, Las Vegas; Rosie Loveless, Greenville; Bobby Charles (Cynthia) Marsh, Columbia, S.C.; Bobby Lee (Ginger) Ray, Greenville; Cynthia (Nathan) Wallace, Arlington, Texas; and Felicia Ray, Troy; 10-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, Judy Missey; nurses, Trista Locklear, Erica McDonald and his   wonderful caretakers Niessa McGhee and Jessie Johnson.
