Wreck claims life

A single vehicle crash on Butler County Road 42 near County Road 71 at 11:35 p.m. Saturday night claimed the life of Whirlee Dunklin.

According to a report by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Dunklin, who was from Eight Mile, was killed when his 2017 Dodge Charger traveled off the roadway and struck several trees. Dunklin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
