Funeral services for the late Mr. Rodgerick Rudolph will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. from Lomax Hannon Auditorium. Bro. William Rudolph was the officiating minister. Burial followed in Damascus Church yard Cemetery.
Bro. Rodgerick De’Man Rudolph was born on October 18, 1975 to Roosevelt Atkins Jr. and the late Brenda Faye Rudolph. Rodger was the oldest grandchild of Lucinda and the late L. P. (Nat) Rudolph and the second oldest grandchild of the Roosevelt Sr. and the late Mattie Atkins.
Rodger departed his life on Thursday morning June 21, 2018 at L. V. Stabler Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Rodger was baptized at Hooks St. Church of Christ in Fort Deposit.
As a young adult he moved to Birmingham where he attended South Woodlawn Church of Christ and song with the Soul Winners. He moved back home and sang with the Metropolitan Singers, and the Gospel Miracles. He moved to Oneonta where he attended The E Street Church of Christ and sang with the Church Group. He moved back home and later start attending Hickory St. Church of Christ in Greenville where he was until his health failed. He sung with his family and The Gospel Spiritual. Rodger was married to Patricia Marsh on October 24, 2016.
Rodger was preceded in death by his mother (Faye), grandfather (L.P.) grandmother (Mattie) , a uncle (Doug) and aunt (Hattie Mae).
Rodger leaves to forever cherish his precious memories a loving and very devoted grandmother Lucinda Rudolph, Greenville; wife Patricia Marsh Rudolph, Honoraville;, mother –in-law Jeanette Marsh, Honoraville; father Roosevelt (Tiffany) Atkins, Greenville; son Adarius Rudolph, Mobile; one very devoted step son Henry Thomas and one step daughter Heserter Thomas both of Honoraville; four brothers, Rondarius (Dominess) Johnson of N.C., Michael (Latisha) Baily, of Columbia, S.C., DeAngela (Marquetta) Savage of Bothell, Wash. and Deterio Savage, Forest Home; one sister LaTasha Savage, Forest Home; six aunts, Gwendolyn Oakes, Calera, Gloria (James) McCall, Letohatchee, Barbara Rudolph, Valara Rudolph, Gwen (Gredy) Simpson all of Greenville and Gwendolyn Atkins of Forest Home; five uncles, DeAngelo (Verdale) Atkins, Forest Home, Ernest Rudolph, Greenville, Danny Atkins, Forest Home, Walter (Ruth) Rudolph and Cliff (Viola) Brown of Bridgeport, Conn.; four cousins that are like brothers, Erik Rudolph Jr., Alvin Rudolph, Greenville, Quinlan Smith Sr., of Huntsville, and Kahlia Baker of Birmingham.
He was blessed to have two God mothers: Edna Parmer and the Parmer family and Amanda (George) McCurdy and the McCurdy family.
