Today I will discuss the football scores for Butler County teams that occurred on Sept. 21 since 1973.

 

Fort Dale Academy

In 1973, Fort Dale beat Greenville Academy 18-6. In 1979, Fort Dale won over Wilcox 20-14. In 1984, Fort Dale lost to Stokes 49-0. In 1990, Fort Dale beat Autauga 21-12.

In 2001, Fort Dale lost to Monroe 14-7. In 2007, Fort Dale beat Monroe 24-14. In 2012, Fort Dale lost to Monroe 52-14. In 2018, Fort Dale lost to Success Unlimited 38-14.

 

Greenville High School

In 1973, Greenville beat Opp 12- 7. In 1979, Greenville lost to Southside-Selma 14-0. In 1984, Greenville fell to Escambia County 28-13. In 1990, Greenville beat Blount 9-3. They went on to claim AHSAA 5A State Champs.

In 2001, Greenville scorched Southside-Selma 41-0. In 2007, Greenville was defeated by Eufaula 14-0. In 2012, Greenville lost to Citrone 44-35. In 2018, at Greenville’s homecoming, they beat Valley 14-7

 

Georgiana School

In 1973, Georgiana played St. Jude on Thursday, Sept. 20 and were shutout 46-0. In 1979, Georgiana lost to Florala 20-14. In 1984, Georgiana was defeated by Luverne 19-15. In 1990, Georgiana beat J.F. Shields 27-7.

In 2001, Georgiana lost to Red Level 35-8. In 2007, Georgiana lost to Leroy 27-13. In 2012, Georgiana took a beating by Brantley 60-0. In 2018, Georgiana took it to McKenzie and won 55-0.

 

McKenzie School

In 1973, McKenzie lost to Red Level 22-6. In 1979, McKenzie won over Conecuh County 35-7. In 1984, McKenzie again trampled McKenzie 37-0. In 1990, McKenzie whooped Frisco City 36-0.

In 2001, McKenzie beat Millry 31-16. In 2007, McKenzie beat Zion Chapel 58-16. In 2012, McKenzie lost to Geneva County 48-13. In 2018, McKenzie was trampled by Georgiana 55-0.
