GERALD DE JONG

Gerald De Jong, Lt. Col. USMC, Retired, 79, a resident of Ft. Deposit passed away, Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018.

Visitation was held at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov 26 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Ft. Deposit. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directed arrangements.

Survivors include: sons, Todd De Jong, Montgomery and Brett (Anna) De Jong, Prattville; brothers, Peter (Evelyn) De Jong, Carmel, Iowa and James (Kay) De Jong, Orange City, Iowa; sisters, Verna (Donald) Lindskoog, Leesburg, Fla. and Janice De Jong, Carmel, Iowa; sister-in-law, Mary Hollingshead, Ft. Deposit; grandchildren, Delaney De Jong, Alexis De Jong, Bretton De Jong, and Anna-Claire De Jong.

Gerald is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
