MARY SCOTT ROPER

Mrs. Mary Scott “Scottie” Roper, age 83, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, at Crowne Health Care.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 27 at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Brother Herbert Brown officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Scottie is preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Ila Ruth Newton, and her sister and brother-in law, Alice Claire and Grady Petty.

She is survived by her husband, Julian Wayne Roper; sister Sarah Lewis (Hollis); brother Bob Newton (Janelle), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were her nephews.
