GRANT D. VICKERY

Mr. Grant D. Vickery, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2020.

A graveside service with family was held on Thursday, March 12, at Hopewell Cemetery.  Rev. Larry Gaston officiated and Johnson Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

A life-long farmer, many will remember Mr. “P-Joe” for his peddling route offering vegetables, pecans, and other farm goods around the county.

He is survived by his wife, Merle Vickery, Greenville; daughter Kim Lakes (Michael), Greenville; and grandson Thomas Lakes (Jillian) and great-granddaughter, Dorothy Grace Lakes, Harris County, Ga.
