EDNA RUTH WALKER

Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna Ruth Walker, 89, of Luverne, was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Johnson funeral home. The family receive friends an hour prior to the service.  Burial followed at Spring Hill Cemetery in Luverne, Ala.

She is survived by her daughter, Threesia Hayden; grandchildren, Issac Hayden (Katie), Benjamin Hayden (Jennifer), William Hayden (Stephanie), Deborah Bowman (Robert), Michael Hayden (Carl); great-grandchildren, Caleb Walker, Kayla, Cougar, and Cameron Hayden,  Ally, Ben, and Will Hayden, Austin and Brady, Asasia and Austin Chance, Cade, Gabriel, Chance,  and Thad Bowman; one great-great grandchild, Britallia Schupher; sister, Shirley Jean Platt; a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 plus years, Leon C. Walker; her parents, George and Lula Bell Bowers; son, Ronald Walker; grandchildren, Annette Hayden,  Zachariah Walker,  and James Smith.

Mrs. Walker was a busy woman. She was feisty and full of energy and loved to cook for her family, she loved to garden and gossip with her friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Shirley, who she lived beside for her entire life.
