JANET MARIE HESTER

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Jan Hester, 73, of McKenzie, was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, at Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Watson officiating.

Burial followed at Grace Cemetery. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hester passed away Tuesday at Evergreen Medical Center.

She is survived by her children, Lonette Bentley and Gerald McInvale (Toni); grandchildren, Justin Gorum, Alicia Bentley, Alexis Bentley Young, Brett Bentley, Ashley McInvale, and Jessie McInvale; great grandchildren, Aubree Gorum and Steele Gray Eagan; sisters, Lynn Gorum (Kenneth), Gayle Tomlinson (LeeTee); nieces, Amy Ward, Andrea Millheim, and Amanda Millheim; nephews, Shawn Bobo and Michael Hayes; and family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Joseph Mack Hester IV.

She spent most of her life caring for children and owned and operated Jan’s Daycare for many years. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. She loved collecting jewelry and clothes. She loved to sew and DIY everything!
