County sports action resumes after AEA

County sports FDA Stringer

Fort Dale Academy boys tennis #1 seed Brody Stringer defeated his opponent from Lee-Scott Academy 9-7 during Thursday’s, April 1, home match.  Between dodging rain showers and dealing with quarantined players, the Fort Dale tennis teams have found success on the courts. Both the boys and girls teams logged records of 7-2 and qualified for state.  The teams will continue to prepare with practice matches against Monroe and Eastwood. The state AISA tournament will be held on April 12 and 13 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery. Coach Jennie Hamilton says that her teams have done a tremendous job, often stepping in for each other and persevering through quarantines.  (Kathy Pickens | The Standard)
