MARY ELLEN BLACKBURN

Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Ellen Blackburn, 76, of Georgiana, was held at Johnson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, with Brother Randy Harvill and Brother Randy Williams officiating. Burial followed at Providence Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday evening. Mrs. Blackburn passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, in Greenville.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rex Blackburn; daughter, Lisa Peavy (Joey); son, Michael Blackburn (Rachel); grandchildren, Jordan Owens (Wyatt), Joseph Peavy, Peyton Burleson, and Mary Kathryn Blackburn; great grandchild, Brantley Ellen Owens; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Mary Frances McNaughton; and brother John William “Bill” McNaughton.

Pallbearers were Joseph Peavy, Wyatt Owens, Darryl McNaughton, Shannon Killough, Chris Kelley, and George Kelley.
