Graveside services for Curtis Posey were held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. from Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest Home. Elder Timothy O’Neal officiated. Hudson Funeral Service directed.
Curtis Posey was born to the late Rev. Isaiah Posey and Betty Moorer Posey on Jan. 16, 1982 in Selma Alabama.
Preceding him in death were his father, Reverend Posey; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
His passion was working on cars. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Regional Medical Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife of thirteen years, Calandra Bone Posey, to this union two children was born one son, Curjoveon Alexander Posey, and one daughter, Curtencia Aimaneke Posey; mother, Mrs. Betty Posey; three brothers, Austin Xavier Moorer, Keith Orlando Posey, and Lionel Cornelius Posey; two sisters, Miranda (Curtis) Mixon and Latonya (Kel) Oliver; two sisters-in-laws, San Bone Mack and Pamela (Willie James) Mack; brother–in-law, William Lewis Bones; eight aunts; four uncles; two special uncles; father & mother-in-law, William (Mattie) Nix; a special niece and nephew, Courtney Mixon and Christopher “Bubba” Mixon ; three special friends, Joe Craig, Melvin “Mookie” Paige And Lee Haynes; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and the boys from the shop.
