EDWARD EUGENE TAYLOR

May 7, 1935 – Feb. 8, 2022

Mr. Edward Eugene Taylor, age 86 of Greenville, died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022. Visitation was held at Dunklin Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 14, beginning at 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Graveside services followed at Fort Dale Cemetery with Reverend Stacy Gaston officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Ellis Taylor and Mamie Lou Austin Taylor Waller; brother, Claude Franklin Taylor; and sons, Richard Edward Taylor and James Ellis Taylor.

He is survived by his children, Cathy Taylor of Dothan, Susan (Bradley) Howell of Brewton, Alan (Kim) Taylor of Webb, Marilyn Hawkins of Greenville, Brian Taylor of Greenville, daughter-in-law, Kathy Taylor of Montgomery; siblings, Mary (Jr.) Boutwell of Andalusia, Leon (Theresa) Waller of Ozark, Jr. (Kathy) Waller of Greenville, Tom Waller of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.

He will be deeply missed.
