JENNIFER COBURN BLACKMON

A memorial service for Jennifer “Jennie” Coburn Blackmon, 68, of Georgiana was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12, at Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Jerrod Harp officiating. The family received friends from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Jennie passed away on Sunday, Feb. 6, in Greenville.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Blackmon and Michael Blackmon (Sarah); she was “Nana” to her grandchildren, Kayla Webb (Jessie), Hayden Fomby (Chasen), Anisten Blackmon, Coburn Blackmon, Ethan Blackmon, Wiley Blackmon, and Jayden Middleton; sister, Merrele Hernandez; brother, Roland Coburn (Nancy); best friend, Rhonda Bees; niece, Ginger Fennell (Andy); nephew, Adam Hernandez (Calene); great niece, Caitlyn Hernandez; and great nephew, Ethan Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by parents, Duane and Geraldine Coburn; and her cats Christmas and Rudolph.

Jennie worked most of her life as an accountant at various places. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren. She also looked forward to her daily walks with Mrs. Judy Scott. She enjoyed traveling with her sister, and there wasn’t anywhere she would go without trying to find the perfect Margarita!
