JUNE VAY MIDDLETON

June Vay Middleton, 89, of Greenville, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Feb. 9, 2022. She was born July 16, 1932 and grew up in Georgiana. Funeral Service was held on 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at First Assembly of God in Greenville with Reverend Lane Simmons officiating and directed by Dunklin Funeral Home.

June graduated from Georgiana High School in May 1949. She began her career later in life with the United Judicial Systems of Alabama. On Aug. 31, 1992 she retired from the State of Alabama after 12 years of dedicated service. She loved her family, her church and most of all God. She was a long-standing member of First Assembly of God in Greenville since 1987.

June was preceded in death by two loving husbands, that both loved her and God, Morris Middleton and Stanley Middleton. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, David Lafayette and Stella Aurelia Wallace; siblings, Gwendolyn Daniels, Gordon Wallace and Onezma Page; and grandson, Jeff McHone.

She is survived by four children, Patricia (Tom) Medders of Montgomery, Linda (Jesse) McWilliams of Greenville, Greg (Tammy) Middleton of Eclectic, and Debbie Middleton of Greenville.

June had eleven grandchildren. She is survived by, Michael Hartin of Greenville, April (Pat) Gregory of Honoraville, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Ellis of Tallassee, Tracy (Jeremy) Johnson of Greenville, Autumn (Randy) Russell of Prattville, Erin Blanton of Auburn, Jessica (Jamie) Betterton of Deatsville, Kevin (Abby) Jordan of Oxford, Jason (Brook) Middleton of Foley, and Katie (Matt) Harden of Chelsea.

She also had many great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
