CHARLES MOSES HEARTSILL

Mr. Charles Moses Heartsill, age 60, a resident of Fort Deposit, passed away on May 1, 2022.
Mr. Heartsill was preceded in death by his parents Zollie and Kathleen Heartsill, sister, Wanda McCarty, and brother, Timothy Heartsill.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenna (Justin) Jones; brothers, Ren (Leta) Heartsill and Darrell (Cathy) Heartsill; granddaughter, Lynleigh Jones; niece Emily Heartsill; nephew, Matthew Heartsill; mother-in-law Myrlean Hitson; great-nephew, Caden Burch; former spouse, Janet Heartsill, and beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Doodles.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Deposit. Funeral services followed with Bro. Bruce Coker officiating. Interment was held at Bethel Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matthew Heartsill, Chris Edgar, Malcolm Callen, Edward Craig, Junior Reaves, and Glenn Collins.
Charles began working in the picture framing business right out of high school which led him to open Heart of the Home in Fort Deposit where he had two long-time devoted employees, Merle Tolbert and Patrick Simmons. He was passionate about antique cars. Charles had a heart for giving and would do anything he could for anyone, no matter who they were. He loved animals and for that reason the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of him to the Butler County Humane Society.
