The Greenville Standard

We are about a week away from the fifth Annual Butler County University of Alabama Alumni Association Golf Tournament, which will be held Friday, June 10.

Money raised goes to the Big C Colin MacGuire Endowed Scholarship Fund.

The first tournament was May 12, 2017, and it was a success.

It was the Alumni Event of The Year and former players were part of the event.

Bill Searcy, Roger Schultz, William Davis, Will Davis, Scott Homan, Shon Lee, Major Oglivie, Andy Gothard, and Duffy Boles, made it to the event. and there was a reception after the Tournament.

2020 is the only year the event was not held due to COVID.

Last year Eli Gold was the guest speaker. This year Chris Stewart is the speaker.

The Tournament will be held at Cambrian Ridge and shot gun starts at 1 p.m. with a four team scramble.

There will be a reception afterwards and it will be held at 600 Terrell Street.

Call Cody at 1-334-303-9374 for more information.

It’s always a fun event.
