LAWRENCE MATHER LEHMAN, JR.

Mr. Lawrence Mather Lehman, Jr., age 96, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 29, beginning at 11 a.m. from St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Reverend Linda Suzanne Borgen officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Sunrise Memorial Park. Visitation was at St. Thomas Episcopal Church from 10-11 a.m.

Lawrence Mather Lehman, Jr., was born on Sept. 28, 1926 in Ohio to Lawrence and Esther Lehman. He was the last of eight siblings. He was an Alumni of Kansas University and served in World War II. On June 16, 1951, he married Janice Miller. Together, they had five children. In 1969, Larry and Janice moved to Greenville, where they continued to raise their family.

He was a Master Craftsman of carpentry and fine woodworking.  His work can be found in many homes throughout Alabama. He was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He was a loving father, great friend to many, and loved his community along with helping others. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Esther Lehman; his wife, Janice Miller Lehman; and son, Steven John Lehman.

Larry is survived by his children, Robert L. Lehman, Suzanne L. Cody (Bill), Victoria L. Gregory (Greg), and Jennifer L. McCune; grandchildren, Will Gregory, Walker Gregory, Matthew McCune, and Daniel McCune.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Building Fund, 201 Church Street, Greenville, AL 36037.
