Minnie Evelyn Williams Lumpkin passed away at the age of 81 years old on Nov. 20, 2021, from acute respiratory failure due to COVID 19 in PRISMA Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, S.C. A Graveside Service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at South Butler Cemetery, McKenzie.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lynne Williams-Rosenberger (Mark); grandson, Lance Austin Williams (Christy) and great granddaughter, Aubrey Marie Robertson; sibling James Russell Williams; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nolan Lumpkin of 19 years; her parents, Cecil Austin and Zola B. Althea Williams; sisters, Betty Ruth McHenry and Elizabeth Ann Edwards; and brothers, Carl Douglas Williams and Cecil Lamar Williams.

She worked for South Central Bell/BellSouth Telecommunications for 45 years, starting off as a telecommunication operator and holding various positions throughout her career with them and working her way up to Administrative Support Occupations. She loved to cross-stitch, crochet, knitting and doing yardwork. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
