MARVIN EARL HARTLEY

June 22, 1934 – Feb. 9, 2023

Mr. Marvin Earl Hartley, age 88, of Honoraville, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, Feb. 13, beginning at 11 a.m. from Spring Creek Baptist Church with Brother John Massey and Brother Jerry Wilkerson officiating with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  The family received friends from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial followed in Perdue Cemetery.

Marvin was born June 22, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lane and Margie Stephens Hartley; brothers, Glenn Hartley, Jimmy (Shirley) Hartley, and Ben Hartley; sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Wright, Peggy Fields, Judy (Thomas) Lawrence, and sister-in-law, Deborah Hartley.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria Gregory Hartley; two sons, Greg (Nancy) Hartley and Keith (Dusty) Hartley; sister, Linda (Dean) Watson; brother, Hayward (Teresa) Hartley; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hartley McNair; two grandsons, Garrett Lane Hartley and Taylor Newton Hartley; brother-in-law, Thomas Donald Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.

Marvin was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church of Honoraville, where he was a long-time deacon.  He served in the United States Navy for four years.  He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors.  Marvin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Spring Creek Baptist Church or Perdue Cemetery Fund.
