Fort Dale Academy girls’ tennis team hosted Restoration Academy of Birmingham at the YMCA courts on Monday, Feb 27, winning the match 7-0. They played an eight-game pro set format.

Singles scores included Maire Scott (#1 seed) 8-0, Claire Hutson (#2 seed) 8-3, Anna Son (#3 seed) 8-0, Rosie Rogers (#4 seed) 8-0, and Charlotte Kate Anderson (#5 seed) 8-0.

The #1 doubles team Scott/Hutson and the #2 doubles team Son/Rogers also both won 8-0 over their opponents.

Thursday’s match with Southern Academy of Greensboro was interrupted by rain. Before action was halted the Lady Eagles won 5 of 7 matches including doubles for Son/Rogers at 8-0 and singles for Scott 8-0, Hutson 8-0, Rogers 8-0, and Anderson 8-2.

Son’s # 3 singles and Scott’s/Hutson’s #1 doubles matches will be rescheduled.

Fort Dale tennis will play at home again on Tuesday, March 14.
