Eagle softball

Fort Dale went 1-2 on the week in softball. They lost to Lowndes 7-6 on the road in a tight battle and to Crenshaw Christian at home 3-0 against strong pitching which allowed only two runs. The Lady Eagles bounced back in Friday’s home match-up with Escambia, winning 12-2 in five innings. Sophomore pitcher Anna Claire Thomas made her first appearance of the season after being sidelined with an injury sustained at the state basketball tournament.  At the plate, junior left fielder Madison Freeman had two hits including a HR and three RBIs. After several road games and spring break, the Lady Eagles will be home again March 28, in a double header versus region rival Morgan Academy.
