Fort Dale went 1-2 on the week in softball. They lost to Lowndes 7-6 on the road in a tight battle and to Crenshaw Christian at home 3-0 against strong pitching which allowed only two runs. The Lady Eagles bounced back in Friday’s home match-up with Escambia, winning 12-2 in five innings. Sophomore pitcher Anna Claire Thomas made her first appearance of the season after being sidelined with an injury sustained at the state basketball tournament.
